About Us
Located on the same site since the 1870s, Hayward Tyler’s UK facility is a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant that specialises in the service and manufacturing of subsea and submersible pumps/motors and the Boiler Circulating Pump.
We maintain our high standards through staff training programmes and quality accreditation. The safety of our staff and working environment is a priority for us, and we believe good working practices and facilities make for a happy workforce.
We support our employees when they raise money for their chosen charities, either through financial contributions or by participating with them in cycling or running events. Giving back to the community is important to us and the reason we support various charitable organisations. Our volunteer scheme allows employees a day off each year to volunteer in support of a charity or organisation of their choice.
We also regularly recognise employees for their contributions and company-wide achievements, such as achieving the ISO45001 standard in 2024.
Hayward Tyler is an equal opportunity employer.

About our Region
Our site is located in Luton, Bedfordshire, less than 30 miles north of the center of London.
Traveling is easy from our location. Luton has very good links with the city and other parts of the country via road, rail, and air. London Luton Airport is the fifth busiest in the UK and the fourth biggest of London’s six airports.
The Luton International Carnival is one of the largest one-day carnival in Europe. It usually takes place on the late May Bank Holiday, and it can gather over 150,000 people on each occasion.
Luton is also the home of the Hat Factory. Originally as its name suggests, this arts center was in fact a real hat factory. Now it is a combined arts venue in the center of the city and provides live music, club nights, theatre, dance, film, children’s activities, workshops, classes, and gallery exhibitions.
We are in close proximity to Milton Keynes and Dunstable, both of which have large theaters that regularly host West End shows.
Milton Keynes also boasts one of the UK’s top shopping destinations, CENTRE: MK, with thousands of brands under one roof.
And finally, for the sport enthusiasts, Luton has a world class multi-sport facility at Inspire Sports Village, located just a couple of miles away from our site.
Apprenticeship Programmes

We have a proven track record in developing the skills and talents of our apprentices. Our staff are highly skilled and experienced, many of whom have completed apprenticeships with Hayward Tyler and willingly pass their knowledge onto the next generation of engineers.
The Engineering Apprenticeship programme we offer is a real job with training, which allows individuals to ‘earn while they learn.’ They gain nationally-recognised qualifications whilst earning a salary over the 4-year programme. Our apprentices will gain real engineering qualifications as well as practical, on-the-job skills.
