In a more connected world, where globalization and cross border collaboration are key to supporting the continued demand for affordable, safe and ecologically sound industrial solutions, Hayward Tyler (HT) and Shinhoo Pumps (SH) are proud to announce that they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at forming a global cooperation in the global energy and chemical markets.
HT is a leading supplier of engineering solutions and equipment, including pumps and motors to worlds industrial markets for over 200 years. In particular, HT has a well-established heritage of supporting the global energy and chemical industries through its facilities in the UK, USA, China and India. HT is particularly well known for its expertise in sealless pumps and motors that operate at high temperature, high pressure and with hard to handle fluids.
SH is a leading supplier of equipment and service across the whole Chinese energy and chemical industry from its world class facility in HeFei, Anhui Province, China. It also has a growing international business through established partners and joint ventures. SH specializes in the design and manufacture of canned motor pumps of all sizes for all industries from domestic through to nuclear power.
As the industrial world looks for greater savings in operational expenditure (OPEX) and safer and more reliable pumping solutions, both HT and SH see the huge benefits that canned motor pumps can have over a more traditional pumping solution. As process solutions across the industrial space also become more complex the need for innovative high end pumping solutions also lends itself to canned motor pump technology. Canned motor pumps have intrinsic benefits related to size and ease of installation as well as the obvious advantages of trouble free and leak free operation.
The two organisations who have complementary product lines and geographic presence and a common desire to continually drive improvement through innovation recognize that by joining forces in the global energy and chemical markets they can deliver greater added value to the market.
Dr Colin Elcoate, Hayward Tyler Chief Commercial Officer commented “With Hayward Tyler’s strong heritage and manufacturing footprint primarily in Europe and the US, and Shinhoo’s impressive product range and presence in the booming Chinese market this cooperation allows the group to support its global customers with a wider set of innovative and competitive engineering solutions.”
Mr Richard Wang, Shinhoo CEO commented “Both companies have ambitious plans in the global energy and chemical industries and have highly complementary product lines and geographic locations. With a global need for more cost effective, reliable and safe pumping solutions the timing is perfect to cooperate and allow our customer base to benefit from the combined capability and global presence.”
The agreement was signed on the 18th June 2019 by Mr. Mike Turmelle, President, Hayward Tyler, and Mr. Richard Wang, CEO, Shinhoo as part of the 10th UK China Economic and Financial Dialogue (EFD) that took place in London during a visit to the UK by Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua.
