Hayward Tyler is an engineering focused company that designs, manufactures, assembles, and tests custom designed motors and pumps in-house. We are committed to meeting the needs of the current fleet of North American nuclear power plants and the next generation of nuclear technologies as well as other baseload power generation technologies. The nature of our work requires the latest engineering analysis tools and the brightest minds. Our engineering group is currently structured in two main groups. The advanced nuclear group is focused on new design of first-of-a-kind pumps and motors to provide solutions for prototype fusion, molten salt, and other types of new nuclear power reactors. The traditional engineering group is focused on supporting the needs for current power generation technologies, including service, aftermarket parts and units, and new design of pumps and motors to both improve efficiency of and extend the life of currently operating nuclear plants.

Graduating seniors: You may be eligible for $5,000 in student loan debt relief!
For graduating seniors who are considering staying in Vermont, you may be eligible for $5,000 in student loan debt relief. To qualify, you must graduate in Spring of 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree, secure a job in Vermont, and live in Vermont. You’ll get $2,500 toward loan repayment at the end of year one and $2,500 at the end of the second year.

Internships
Through our relationships with leading local colleges and universities, we have developed an internship program rich in opportunities for learning and growth. Many of our current staff started their careers with Hayward Tyler as an intern. Unlike at some companies, our internship program is always paid, allowing you to ‘earn while you learn.’
We typically offer up to three internships in our engineering department per year. These are normally full-time summer internships, but we occasionally offer part-time internships that last through the school year as well. This year, we are expanding our program to include a Marketing Intern position. We expect to continue to evolve our internship program to allow more and varied opportunities across other areas of our business.

Our facility is conveniently located in Colchester, Vermont — just off Interstate 89 and a mere ten minute drive from Burlington, the largest city in Vermont.
