Proposals Engineer

Hayward Tyler Fluid Handling is looking to recruit a Proposals Engineer to support our current Sales team in Scotland.

As a Proposals Engineer you will support the business needs and continuous improvement efforts primarily through receipt of potential customer enquiries and subsequent management, compilation and submission of the quotations.

What you will do:

• Review sales enquiries that include specifications and technical drawings.
• Make technical selection of equipment from our product ranges.
• Produce commercially and technically viable quotations.
• Communication with customers including clarification of technical requirements.
• Control all contractual documentation from enquiry to handover, ensuring that relevant departments are consulted or made aware, where necessary.
• Maintain and update quotation status via Epicor.
• Act as internal and customer interface, supporting the sales team throughout bid process.
• Administration of all supporting, commercial and sales documentation.
• Comply with all company SHEQ policies and procedures.

What you will need:

• HNC / HND Mechanical Engineering or above.
• 3+ years’ experience working in a technical sales environment.
• Comfortable working with an ERP system (preferably Epicor).
• Knowledge of rotating equipment (electric motors, pumps, fluid mixers, etc).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
