Ewan Lloyd-Baker, chief executive of Hayward Tyler (LON:HAYT), says the engineering group is already starting to see the benefits of its recent investments.
The firm has recently taken over Peter Brotherhood – a UK engineering business based in Peterborough and is investing into research, training and development, as well as expanding its Luton facility.
A deal with leading Japanese pump maker Ebara creates a new opportunity in a hitherto closed market for Hayward Tyler (LON:HAYT), Ewan Lloyd-Baker,the boss of the specialist British engineer, told Proactive.
The boss of AIM-listed Hayward Tyler has hailed the possibilities created by the group’s acquisition of a historic East of England engineering business and producer of steam turbines within interim results featuring an expected dip in revenue.
“The Peter Brotherhood operation has the potential to mark a significant step change in the scale and size of the overall Hayward Tyler Group.”
The US$15mln acquisition, from German industrial giant Siemens, was announced on 12 October.
Peter Brotherhood is a UK maker of steam turbines and gas compressors, so the business neatly complements Hayward’s existing business of electric motors and pumps while bringing in a number of new customers, such as the Keppel Shipyard.
